The Educational and Methodological Council (EMC) of Osh International Medical University is a permanent collegial body responsible for coordinating and organizing the educational and methodological activities of the university. The EMC functions under the Academic Council of the university with the aim of improving the quality of the educational process, studying, analyzing, generalizing, and implementing modern teaching methods in accordance with the requirements of the higher medical education system of the Kyrgyz Republic and international educational standards.
The main goal of the EMC is to ensure high-quality training of competitive medical professionals capable of working successfully both in the Kyrgyz Republic and internationally.
The main objectives of the EMC are:
• determining priority areas of educational and methodological work of the university;
• coordinating the activities of departments in the development and improvement of educational and methodological documentation;
• analyzing and improving educational programs;
• organizing methodological support for departments and young teachers;
• implementing modern educational technologies and innovative teaching methods;
• improving the system of e-learning and English-medium education;
• reviewing and recommending educational and methodological manuals, educational-methodological complexes, syllabi, and other methodological materials for publication;
• disseminating advanced pedagogical and methodological experience.
Since 2025, the activities of the Educational and Methodological Council of Osh International Medical University have been carried out in accordance with the updated Regulations on the EMC approved by the Academic Council of the university. The Regulations define the structure, main areas of activity, functions, and working procedures of the EMC, taking into account modern requirements of the medical education system, state educational standards of the Kyrgyz Republic, and international requirements in the field of quality assurance in education.
