A significant event has taken place in the scientific community of Osh International Medical University - Associate Professor K.Sh. Sakibaev, in collaboration with international colleagues, has published a scientific article in an international peer-reviewed journal indexed in Scopus with a Q1 quartile ranking.

Publishing scientific papers in international citation databases such as Scopus and Web of Science is an important indicator of high-quality research activity. Such publications provide broad opportunities for participation in international scientific projects, academic programs, and grant competitions both in the Kyrgyz Republic and abroad.

It is especially noteworthy that the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic recognizes publications indexed in Scopus as one of the key criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of scientific activity at higher educational institutions and research institutes. Publications in these international databases are considered equivalent to publications included in the HAC list of the Kyrgyz Republic and make a substantial contribution to strengthening the academic potential of the university.

It should be noted that the Q1 quartile is assigned to the world’s most authoritative and highly cited scientific journals, which reflects the high quality of the research, the relevance of the scientific topic, and the international recognition of the authors’ work.

Today, Scopus is one of the world’s largest scientific citation databases, containing more than 23,000 peer-reviewed scientific journals across various disciplines. Publications indexed in Scopus are recognized by leading universities, research organizations, and international ranking agencies as indicators of quality, reliability, and scientific significance.

The staff of Osh International Medical University congratulates Associate Professor K.Sh. Sakibaev on this important scientific achievement and wishes him further success, new research accomplishments, and continued international recognition in scientific activity.
