OIMU Students Visit Ethnographic Museum as Part of Academic Course
As part of the “Kyrgyz Language and Literature” course, students of group LD-6-1-25 visited an ethnographic museum for an educational excursion. The main objective of the visit was to develop students’ language skills while deepening their knowledge of the history, culture, and traditions of the Kyrgyz people.
During the экскурсия, students explored historical exhibits ranging from ancient times to the present day. Particular interest was shown in national clothing, household items, as well as materials related to traditional medical practices and folk remedies.
The section dedicated to traditional medicine attracted special attention from future medical professionals, helping them broaden their understanding of cultural aspects of healthcare.
The excursion was conducted in an interactive format: students actively asked questions in Kyrgyz and participated in discussions. This contributed to enriching their professional vocabulary and improving their speaking skills.
At the end of the visit, students emphasized the importance of preserving historical and cultural heritage and noted the practical value of the knowledge gained for their future professional careers.
