The 1st International Student Olympiad in Morphological Disciplines “Anatomy is Destiny” Held at OIMU
On April 3, 2026, Osh International Medical University hosted the 1st International Student Olympiad in Morphological Disciplines titled “Anatomy is Destiny.” This event marked the first time such an Olympiad has been held at the university, making it a significant and historic milestone for OIMU.
The event brought together 9 teams from various medical universities, including Osh State University, Jalal-Abad State University, the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM), and others.
The Olympiad was conducted in a multilingual format, with both English-speaking and Russian-speaking teams participating, highlighting its international scope and the high level of student preparation.
The competition consisted of three stages, where participants demonstrated their knowledge and practical skills in histology, anatomy, and surgical techniques. In addition, a creative “Team Presentation” contest was held and evaluated separately.
The jury included invited experts from Voronezh State University, as well as representatives of participating universities, ensuring an objective and professional evaluation.
All teams performed достойно and demonstrated a high level of preparation.

Russian-speaking teams:
- 🥇 IN VIVO (OIMU) — 1st place
- 🥈 Synapse (Osh State University, MMF) — 2nd place
- 🥉 Dukh Kletki (JASU) — 3rd place
During the breaks, a coffee break was organized for participants, and OIMU students presented musical and dance performances, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The Olympiad became an important step in strengthening international cooperation, academic exchange, and increasing student interest in morphological disciplines.
