Begimay Toktobolotovna Abdimomunova, Candidate of Medical Sciences and Head of the Department of Clinical Disciplines at OMMU, took part in the international scientific and practical program “Visit of Foreign Experts to Guangdong,” held in Yunfu, People’s Republic of China.

As part of the program, the OIMU representative delivered a scientific presentation on “Industrialisation of Rapid Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) Kits for Zoonotic Parasitic Diseases,” focusing on the industrialization of rapid diagnostic tests for the detection of zoonotic parasitic diseases.

In her presentation, Begimay Toktobolotovna highlighted modern approaches to the development and implementation of rapid diagnostics in the fields of parasitology and infectious diseases. Special attention was paid to the practical application of POCT technologies, their role in the early detection of diseases, as well as the prospects for introducing scientific developments into industrial production and the healthcare system.

The participation of an OIMU faculty member in an international-level event became an important opportunity for the exchange of scientific experience, discussion of current trends in medical science, and expansion of professional contacts with foreign specialists.
