On March 23, 2026, Osh International Medical University held a lecture dedicated to World Tuberculosis Day. The lecture for students was delivered by OIMU lecturer Kanykei Batyrova.

During the meeting, she spoke to students about the history of tuberculosis, modern approaches to its treatment, and why prevention of this disease remains especially important today. Special attention was also given to the ways the infection spreads, its early symptoms, and the importance of timely diagnosis.

The lecture was held in an informative and meaningful atmosphere for future medical professionals. Students not only expanded their knowledge of the topic, but also once again realized how important public awareness is in the fight against tuberculosis.

Such events help foster a responsible attitude among students toward public health issues and highlight the important role of preventive medicine in the modern healthcare system.
