On March 16, 2026, Osh International Medical University hosted a guest lecture for second-year students as part of the Public Health course.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Aziza Ismailova, a practicing pediatric neurologist and a specialist in breastfeeding and child nutrition. During the session, she discussed maternal and infant nutrition, as well as the importance of proper child nutrition as a key factor influencing public health overall.

Special attention was given to the importance of breastfeeding, with the speaker emphasizing its role in shaping each child’s future health and well-being. The students received useful and relevant information about the significance of early nutrition for proper growth, development, and the prevention of various health problems.

Such lectures help expand students’ professional knowledge, develop clinical thinking, and increase their interest in current issues related to maternal and child health.
