On February 27, 2026, Osh International Medical University held a methodological seminar dedicated to organizing the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) and to modern approaches for assessing students’ clinical skills.

During the seminar, the Department of Clinical Disciplines presented station passports and checklists for the OSCE centers. Key issues were discussed in detail, including assessment criteria, the exam workflow/algorithm, as well as the schedule and procedures for conducting examinations at the OSCE centers.

Presentations by OSCE area were delivered by:

• Erlan Absattarov — OSCE center in Internal Medicine (Therapy);

• Veronika Tursunova — OSCE center in Obstetrics and Gynecology;

• Elnura Nishankulova — OSCE center in Pediatrics.

The seminar enabled faculty members to become familiar with OSCE tools and principles, harmonize approaches to assessing practical skills, and improve the objectivity of summative assessment.

OIMU will continue implementing modern teaching and assessment methods aimed at enhancing the quality of clinical training for future physicians.
