September 23: Cultural Event "I Am Great Because My Language Is Great" Held at OIAMU in Honor of State Language Day
On September 23, 2025, in honor of the State Language Day of the Kyrgyz Republic, a cultural event titled "I Am Great Because My Language Is Great" was held at the Osh International Medical University. The event brought together both local and international students studying at the university.
The main objective of the event was to promote respect for the Kyrgyz language, emphasize its historical and cultural significance, and foster pride in the state language among the diverse student community.
Participants showcased their talents by reciting poetry, performing songs and theatrical sketches that celebrated the Kyrgyz language. The concert portion included the presentation of Kyrgyz proverbs, folk songs, and traditional dances, creating a festive and vibrant atmosphere for all attendees.
Such events play an important role in strengthening students' appreciation for their native language and preserving national values through language. They also provide foreign students with an opportunity to connect more deeply with Kyrgyz culture and traditions.
The event was organized by K.Zh. Osmonova, a lecturer of Kyrgyz Language and Literature. It was conducted at a high level and received positive feedback from both students and faculty members.
