Intubation and Resuscitation Algorithms: Hands-On Training on Mannequins at OIMU
At Osh International Medical University, students from Kyrgyzstan and CIS countries are taking practical classes with extensive use of simulation stations. During these sessions, future doctors practice essential emergency and resuscitation skills, including endotracheal intubation, airway management, basic life support procedures, and working according to standard clinical algorithms.
Training is conducted using modern mannequins, including automated simulators with objective performance control. These devices record whether a student performs the procedure correctly by assessing the sequence of actions, technical accuracy, and compliance with established protocols. This provides immediate feedback and allows students to correct mistakes during the learning process.
Simulation-based training helps build confidence and refine skills in a safe environment before entering clinical practice. Regular sessions at the simulation stations improve the quality of training, strengthen teamwork, and enhance students’ readiness for real-life clinical situations.
