OIMU faculty and students took part in the 8th International scientific conference in Voronezh

On November 7, 2025, the 8th International Scientific Conference titled “Clinical and Morphological Aspects of Fundamental and Applied Medical Research” was held in Voronezh. Osh International Medical University proudly served as one of the co-organizers of the event.
The conference was conducted in a hybrid format — both offline in Voronezh and online — bringing together researchers, faculty members, and students from different countries.
OIMU representatives presented insightful scientific papers and reports highlighting current topics in modern medicine.
The Head of the Department of Clinical Disciplines, B.T. Abdimomunova, together with student Sivakumar Sasivaranan, presented a paper titled “Impact of corticosteroids therapy on the development of post-COVID syndrome.”
Additionally, B.T. Abdimomunova and student Thumathi Maheshwaran Kirthana co-authored another presentation titled “National behavior of international students in Osh: Health implications and adaptation challenges.”
Another research paper, “Awareness of medical university students about the prevention of respiratory infections: Problems and ways of improvement,” was presented by B.T. Abdimomunova, S.T. Zholdoshev, and G.Zh. Sadykova.
In total, OIMU faculty members and students submitted 11 research papers, demonstrating the university’s active engagement in international academic collaboration and its strong commitment to scientific excellence.
